Japanese Valentine Day is very similar with Korean’s one. In Korea, women usually give chocolates to men on Valentine day and men give candies to women on White day. We also sometimes give chocolates to friends or co-workers. I used to give small chocolates to my male friends on Valentine day. I think this is a kind of expression to show gratitude and friendship. However, sometimes it gives me some pressure that I should prepare that day. Even this pressure, I enjoy giving chocolates so if I have chance to stay in Japan, I also give chocolates to my friends.
